Sarangi Silva also qualified to participate in the Women’s Long Jump but declined the offer to train with her coach in Turkey, preparation for participation at the upcoming XX11 Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham, England. She is the first Sri Lankan athlete to qualify for the World Athletic Championship in horizontal jump events.
