A distinguished Past Pupil of the School by the Sea in Mount Lavinia, his record speaks of a multi talented Old Thomian. He had been Head Prefect & Best Allround Student. He had won Colours & Captained Athletics & Chess. He had been a member of the Rugby team that became All Island Schools League & Knockout Champions in consecutive years. He had also been a member of the School English Debating Team in addition to being the Senior Sacristan.
