The Volleyball Federation of Sri Lanka signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Sports to receive a state of the art – ultra modern facility aptly named as the Volleyball House situated in Galle valued at Rs. 800 Million. This complete sports infrastructure facility for the National Sport is bound to assist the local spikers to be a force in the Asian Region. Hon. Namal Rajapakse – Minister of Youth & Sports, after assuming duties in his new portfolio had promised this as his first such project. This was revealed just before the occasion. The entire Executive Committee of the Volleyball Federation of Sri Lanka, were witness as their President, Hon. Ranjith Siyambalapitiya was happy to exchange documents with the Chief Guest – Hon. Namal Rajapakse after the MOU was signed in their presence.
