Historic International Masters Cricket To Ignite Local Fans

The 04th International Masters Cricket Over 50s World Cup 2025 will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from the 09th to the 23rd of February. Over 350 players & officials are expected in the very popular, extremely beautiful & much hospitable island nation, related to this prestigious event.

International Masters Cricket ( IMC ) is a not-for-profit incorporated organisation registered in Australia to conduct tournaments with senior cricketers. The 04 age groups represented are Over40s, Over 50s, Over 60s & Over 70s. There are 14 member nations as at present.

The event is being organised by Lanka Masters Cricket ( LMC ), which is a limited guarantee company registered in Sri Lanka to organise veterans cricket activity on a not-for-profit basis. Senerath Seneviratne is President, in addition to serving as a Board Member of International Masters Cricket. He has played in all previous Masters World Cup tournaments & captained the side on the last 02 instances. Shane Fernando is Vice President. Having represented the country on all previous occasions, this time he is leading the host nation team. Lanka Masters have participated in all 04 age groups in previous IMC World Cups. The Lanka Masters team is selected from players currently actively playing cricket & who are considered having the requirednskills & fitness to play in this rigorous tournament. All the matches are 45 overs-a-side with each team having to play 08 games within 15 days.

The organising committee of the 04th IMC Over 50s World Cup 2025 being played in the Colombo District, Western Province, Sri Lanka is inclusive of 08 dedicated individuals. Senerath Seneviratne is Chairman. Shane Fernando is Deputy Chairman. Other members are Shantha Gunasekera, Prasanna Kariyawasam, Johann Peiris, Sachitha Perera, Dr. Dulana Pinidiyapathirage & Shafeek Rahim.

14 teams are scheduled to play 56 matches at 15 venues during 10 days of play. All matches will be live streamed ( 06 per day ) to the world on ThePapare.com & Lanka Masters Cricket Association youtube & web page.
