When the medal ceremony of Gymnastic : Women – Floor Exercise was held it was a historic occassion in the Olympics. Rebeca Andrade ( Brazil ) – Gold, Simone Biles ( USA ) – Silver, Jordan Childs ( USA ) – Bronze winners were the first all black women podium with 20 Olympic Medals between them – 11 for Biles, 06 for Andrade & 03 for Chiles.Kellie Harringrton of Ireland made history by becoming the first female athlete from Ireland to win a medal at more than 01 Olympic Game. She won Gold in Tokyo & Paris in Boxing – Women’s 60 Kgs. Rowers from Ireland also defended the Gold Medal won in Tokyo joining the boxer in doing so at Paris 2024. Kellie Harrington is employed in the health sector as a cleaner at a hospital in Dublin. She is married to her long time same sex partner, Mandy.
