Sri Lanka Para Athletes Hope / Promise Record Medal Haul

The Sri Lanka National Paralympic Committee has arranged for a 26 member team to represent Sri Lanka at the upcoming 04th Asian Para Games 2022 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. Over 4000 Athletes from 43 Nations are expected to participate at these Games to be held from 22nd to 28th October. The 07 Day event will be conducted in 19 Venues. The schedule is for 566 Events to be worked off in 22 Sports ( 24 Disciplines ).

Sri Lankan athletes are competing in 08 sports : Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Powerlifting, Rowing, Swimming, Table Tennis & Wheelchair Tennis. The flag bearer for Team Sri Lanka will be Field Athlete, Dinesh Priyantha Herath. The President, National Paralympic Committee of Sri Lanka – Lt.Col. Deepal Herath who will also be the Chief de Mission on this instance is hopeful of a record haul of medals from the determined & well prepared Team Sri Lanka contingent.

Maj. Gen. ( Retired ) Rajitha Ampemohotti, a live wire of promoting & sustaining Para Sports in the country together with the assistance of the Ministry of Youth / Sports & also the National Sports Council have facilitated the Team Sri Lanka Para Contingent.
