Sri Lanka Army beat Sri Lanka Air Force 6 – 5 in Extended Final

Sri Lanka Army opened scoring with 02 runs on the top of the 01st inning. They added 02 more on the top of the 04th, 01 run each on the top of the 08th & 10th innings. Sri Lanka Air Force scored a run on the bottom of the 01st inning, then 03 more on the bottom of the 04th inning & 01 more on the bottom of the 08th inning. The scores were level at 4 – 4 after the scheduled 07 innings. Then the game had to be extended to an extra 03 innings. The soldiers scored a run on the top of the 08th inning to which the airmen replied with a run on the bottom of the same inning to level the scores yet again. there was no scoring in the 09th innings of both teams. Sri Lanka Army scored a run on the top of the 10th inning.
Sri Lanka Air Force walked off the field, abandoning play in the final as a protest against an umpiring decision. That was unfortunate & left the untiring efforts of the tournament organizers in shambles.
