Team Sri Lanka To Tokyo 2020 Supported By Corporate Sector

The launch of Team Sri Lanka to the XXX11 Summer Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 was held at the Hemasiri Fernando Auditorium of the Olympic House in Colombo. Due to strict health guidelines, it was a low key affair.

A minute’s silence was observed as a mark of respect to late Javal Ambani – Chairman of the Metropolitan Group, who had been a great benefactor of the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka. The most pleasing factor was that some Top Corporates in the country had come on board with much enthusiasm with the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka to encourage the 09 Athletes who will represent Sri Lanka in 07 Sports at the Games in Japan.
