The Silver Jubilee event, which is the oldest & most popular supercross in the country was organised by the Sri Lanka Military Academy in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Army Motor Sports Committee. Jointly conducting the event was the Department of Sports Development, Ministry of Sports together with the Sri Lanka Automobile Sports & Federation of Motor Cycle Sports in Sri Lanka.
About 150 Riders in 11 Motor Cycle Races as well as 130 Drivers in 23 Races for Motor Cars / Trucks & Jeeps participated. Experienced Driver, Rizvi Farouk during Practice & Young Rider, Evon Biagee Gurusinghe during Competition were badly injured.

Ishan Dassanayake – Team TVS Racing – received the Hans Ralf Challenge Trophy – he is the one Won both Super Bike events who created the Track which has been impoved & expanded subsequently.
Best Driver –
Ashan Silva – Team Magni Holdings – carried away the Major General Gamini Gunasekera Won both Super Car events
Memorial Challenge Trophy –
the then Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Military Academy who initiated this event.
