    The 17th Annual CASA Softball Six-a-side Tournament 2015 will be held on 25th April at Maitland Place NCC Grounds with 55 Men’s and 13 Women’s teams participating. The knock out format has been scheduled to be conducted under lights from the Quarter Final stage on wards. The Defending Champions are VVK Maritime Agencies [ Women’s ] and APL Lanka [ Men’s ].     St. John’s College, Nugegoda will be conducting a Twenty 20 Championship at Havelock Park [BRC Ground] on 08th & 09th of May 2015 as part of their Centenary Celebrations.St.John’s Colleges of Dematagoda, Jaffna, Panadura and Nugegoda will be seen in action. Last year a similar tournament was successfully conducted by the Old Boys Association of St.John’s,Nugegoda at the same venue with the same 04 teams participating.St.John’s Nugegoda beat St.John’s Jaffna in the Final. Nishantha Ranathunga, Secretary- Sri Lanka Cricket then was present as Chief Guest at the Closing Ceremony. Anusha Samaranayake, one time tear away right arm fast bowler who represented SSC and All Ceylon and now serving as a Fast Bowling Coach for Sri Lanka Cricket is probably the most famous former cricketer of St.John’s Nugegoda. He is also a popular commentator/analyst on television and a mentor for many National Team players.
